Digg’s blurb of a story from the Denver Post:
A man walked up to Dick Cheney, calmly told him he thought his Iraq policy was reprehensible, and walked away. A few minutes later he was arrested by the Secret Service, in front of his 8-year-old son, for “assault”.
Comment from one Digger:
He’s lucky he didn’t get the force choke.
Priceless!
Reminds me:
MALCOLM McDOWELL! I finally a subject for the next Great Character Actors piece!

Sunshine is seeing limited release today in the US. Don’t take my word for it: The only two movies opening this weekend which are rated “Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes are Sunshine and Hairspray.
So here’s your choice:
The latest film by the director of “The Pacifier” (yes, that Vin Diesel-as-a-babysitter movie) featuring a cross-dressing John Travolta in a fatsuit.
OR
The latest film by the director of Trainspotting and 28 Days Later featuring the lead actor in the 2006 Palme D’Or “The Wind that Shakes the Barley”.

This one’s in Portuguese, on account of some political news in Brazil.
ACM morreu. Do Blog do Josias, conversa entre ACM e FHC, quando FHC queria impedir Pedro Malan de depôr na CPI:
“Preciso que vocês me ajudem nisso”, iniciou FHC.

As I watch the images of TAM Flight 3054 in São Paulo, my grandpa interjects:
Did I ever tell you when I went to that tractor fair in Rio?
“No, grandpa”
Yeah, I went to Rio for a expo on tractors for my company. One of the parts for the tractors broke and I had to fly back to São Paulo and get a replacement part for the fair the next morning. I called the airline up and booked a seat–it was one of those old DC-3s. President Juscelino Kubitschek was going to open the fair, and I wanted to see him. When he came in late, I called up the airline to re-schedule to the next flight, and they said to not bother with it and just check in at the counter whenever I wanted to go. My co-worker didn’t care much for “JK” and flew out on the flight we booked.
After the opening, I checked in to the airport and the check-in agent started laughing. “Why are you laughing?” I asked
“Sir, you’ve been born again. The flight you were booked on just crashed.”
On the flight to São Paulo, close to São Sebastião, taking the same route as all the planes bound for São Paulo, I caught the glimpse of a large fire down below amidst some trees.
